Ever since childhood, my fascination with makeup has been a constant passion. I have vivid memories of experimenting with my mother's makeup, transforming my innocent face into what I considered pure beauty – at least in my own eyes.
After completing my education, I delved deeper into this passion at the International Academy of Health and Skincare, where I earned a comprehensive 4-year degree in Somatology. This field involves the scientific and holistic study of the body and its anatomy, providing me with extensive knowledge in skincare and bodily anatomy.
Following the completion of my degree, my professional journey commenced at Zorgvliet Spa in the scenic Franschhoek. There, I assumed the role of a bridal makeup artist, catering to weddings held at the Zorgvliet Wine Estate. This was a dream come true, but circumstances led me to part ways with Zorgvliet temporarily, putting my dream on hold.
Fortunately, a few years later, I was able to return to my initial love, establishing a fulfilling career as a full-time hair and makeup artist.
Driven by my passion, I sought to enhance my skills further by enrolling in a Bridal Hair and Makeup course at Lisa Brow International Academy. Additionally, I completed a Classic and Volume Lash Extensions course through Clarita Smith. Post my training, I collaborated with Lisa Brow on both local and international weddings and magazine shoots. Yet, the ultimate realization of my dream occurred when I opened my own bridal hair and makeup studio.
Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from spending time with my family. I am a devoted wife to an incredible husband and a proud mother to a beautiful son and daughter.
So, why is this my passion?
Perhaps it's a common sentiment, but I believe every girl envisions her wedding day from a tender age – I certainly did. I am convinced that every woman deserves to feel like a princess walking down the aisle on her significant day. Being part of that breathtaking moment, where I contribute to someone's utmost confidence and self-love, is an incredibly fulfilling experience.
Beauty manifests in numerous forms, and I firmly believe that confidence and self-love are attainable for every woman. I eagerly look forward to bringing out the princess in you.
